Breast Implant And Capsule Removal with Mastopexy. Two Weeks Post-Op (with small white tapes still on) and then Two and a Half Months Post Op. This patient had breast implants placed over 23 years ago. Her left side always gave her more trouble. With time it became encapsulated and calcified (see specimen photos). Her left breast caused her a lot of pain, especially when trying to lie on her stomach. I performed bilateral “en bloc” total capsulectomies and implant removal (explant) with a breast lift. This photo series allows one to see the progression as scars soften and swelling subsides.
