From Dr. Lampert:
This young athletic male had a badly broken nose and left cheek fracture after sustaining facial trauma during sports. He had multiple prior surgeries to correct his nose and septum with an unknown ENT surgeon. Here he is now 6 months after revision rhinoplasty with cheek and nasal reconstruction using a rib graft. A piece of rib cartilage was necessary, as his prior trauma and surgeries left his nose and septum depleted of cartilage. I also used a small piece of rib bone to build his left cheek back up. These complex revision rhinoplasty nasal reconstruction cases take considerable time for the swelling to go down. Edema and swelling can last longer than a year.
