Our Process for Traveling Patients

We understand that planning for a procedure can be overwhelming, especially when you’re coming from out of town. Dr. Lampert and his team are committed to making this process as smooth and convenient as possible.

Here’s what you can expect during your virtual consultation and the steps leading up to your surgery.

Step 1: Schedule Your Virtual Consultation

To begin, schedule your virtual consultation with Dr. Lampert. Our team will assist you in setting up a convenient time for your consultation. We offer consultations via Zoom or FaceTime, based on your preference. You can call the office to schedule over the phone or fill out a contact form at your convenience.

Step 2: Prepare for Your Consultation

  • Medical History and Forms: Before your consultation, our office will send you necessary forms to fill out regarding your medical history and specific needs.
  • Photo Submission (Optional): If you are comfortable, you may send photos of the areas you wish to address. These photos will help Dr. Lampert better understand your goals and plan your procedure. Ensure the photos are clear and taken from different angles as needed. Our team will send you a link with photo references. You can choose to have your examination done entirely during the virtual call if you prefer not to send photos beforehand.
  • Gather Necessary Information: To better assist Dr. Lampert's surgical planning, it is helpful gather the following information:
  1. Imaging: Bring any relevant Mammograms, MRIs, Ultrasounds, CT scans, or other imaging studies.
  2. Operative Reports: If you've had previous surgeries, provide copies of your operative reports if you have access to them.
  3. Medical Records: Include any relevant medical records, lab results, or reports from other specialists.
  • Prepare Your Questions: Write down any questions or concerns you may have about your condition or the upcoming procedure. This ensures you don't forget to address any important issues during your consultation.

Step 3: The Virtual Consultation:

  • Joining the Call: At the scheduled time, join the Zoom call with Dr. Lampert. If the consultation is done through Facetime, Dr. Lampert will initiate the call. Ensure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space for your consultation.
  • Discussion and Examination: During the call, Dr. Lampert will discuss your goals, review any photos you have sent, and perform a visual examination if necessary. He will then provide his expert opinion on the best surgical plan to achieve your desired results.

Step 4: Post-Consultation Process

Following the consultation, our office staff will email you a detailed cosmetic quote for the procedure discussed. The email will also include additional steps and instructions for moving forward.

Step 5: Booking and Preparing for Surgery

  • Pre-Op: A pre-operative appointment will be held 2-3 weeks prior to your scheduled surgery day. With our office staff, you will go over all the information needed to ensure you are adequately prepared for surgery. Afterwards, you will speak with Dr. Lampert to finalize any details and ensure everything is in order for your procedure. This can be done virtually.
  • Travel Arrangements: Make your travel arrangements to the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. Dr. Lampert prefers to meet out-of-town patients in person at least one day prior to the surgery, rather than on the day of the surgery.
  • Post-Surgery Stay: Out-of-town patients are required to stay in the local area for a minimum of two weeks after surgery. This allows Dr. Lampert to monitor your recovery and address any concerns promptly.

We are here to support you every step of the way and look forward to helping you achieve your aesthetic goals with Dr. Lampert!
