From Dr. Lampert:
This 36 year old female was involved in an automobile accident 15 years ago. She was treated in the intensive care unit and survived but was left with this severe deformity of her left cheek and temple. Her trauma left her with severe wasting of the temple and an impacted zygoma (or cheek bone). Her scars were thick. She had attempted fat grafting to the temple with another surgeon, but was dissatisfied with the inadequate correction and fat absorption that subsequently occurred. Here she is now 2 months after reconstruction with silicone facial implants to correct and augment the left temple and impacted zygoma. Better symmetry was achieved. Scars were also revised.
